Katanbooking Ltd. (“Katanbooking”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses limited cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the operation, security and functionality of the Katanbooking Platform.
This Cookie Policy applies to all users of the Katanbooking Platform, including Customers, Providers and visitors. At the current stage of the Platform, Katanbooking does not use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, marketing, advertising, behavioural tracking or profiling purposes.
This Cookie Policy explains what types of cookies and similar technologies may be used, why they are necessary, and how future changes will be handled.
1. What cookies and similar technologies we use
Katanbooking currently uses only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies required to enable the core functionality of the Platform.
These may include, in particular:
- Authentication and session technologies
- These are used to allow users to log in, maintain a secure session, access their account, use the Provider Dashboard, manage bookings, and move securely through account-based areas of the Platform.
- Security-related technologies
- These are used to protect the Platform, user accounts and transactions against unauthorised access, fraud, abuse, misuse, suspicious activity and technical attacks.
- Functional technologies
- These are used to enable basic Platform functionality, including navigation, account access, booking flows, communication tools, language or interface preferences, and the proper operation of Platform features.
- Payment-related technical technologies
- Where payments are processed through authorised third-party payment service providers, including Stripe, certain strictly necessary technical mechanisms may be used to support secure payment processing, fraud prevention, transaction integrity and compliance. Katanbooking does not use these technologies for advertising or marketing purposes.
These technologies may operate through cookies or alternative technical mechanisms, depending on the architecture of the Platform, and may not always involve traditional browser cookies.
2. Similar technologies
For the purposes of this Cookie Policy, references to cookies include similar technologies where applicable, such as session storage, local storage, device or browser identifiers, authentication tokens and other technical mechanisms required for the secure and proper operation of the Platform.
These technologies are used only where necessary to provide, secure or operate the Platform.
3. No analytics, marketing or advertising cookies
At the current stage, Katanbooking does not use cookies or similar technologies for:
analytics or performance measurement;
advertising or marketing;
retargeting;
behavioural tracking;
profiling for advertising purposes;
sharing data with advertising networks.
Accordingly, Katanbooking does not currently use a cookie consent banner for non-essential cookies, because no non-essential cookies are used by Katanbooking at this stage.
For the avoidance of doubt, Katanbooking may perform limited analytics, diagnostics or performance monitoring using server-side logs or internal technical data. Such processing does not involve cookies or similar technologies placed on the user’s device.
4. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies are used because they are required to provide the Platform and its core functionality, including account access, booking management, security, payment support and fraud prevention.
These technologies are essential for the operation of the Platform and cannot be disabled without affecting its functionality.
Where applicable, the processing of Personal Data through such technologies is based on the necessity of providing the Platform services, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and/or Katanbooking’s legitimate interests in maintaining a secure, reliable and functional Platform.
These technologies are used only to the extent necessary for authentication, security, booking processes, payment support, fraud prevention and core Platform operations. Under applicable law, strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies do not require user consent.
5. Third-party technologies
Certain third-party service providers, such as payment service providers (including Stripe), authentication providers, hosting providers or security providers, may use their own cookies or similar technologies when supporting the operation of the Platform.
Where such providers act as independent controllers, they determine the purposes and means of their processing, and their use of cookies or similar technologies is governed by their own terms, privacy policies and cookie policies.
Katanbooking does not control and is not responsible for such third-party technologies.
6. Future updates
Katanbooking may introduce additional cookies or similar technologies in future versions of the Platform, including analytics, performance, marketing or advertising tools. This includes cases where new features, integrations or third-party tools are introduced that require the use of additional cookies or similar technologies.
If Katanbooking introduces non-essential cookies or similar technologies, it will update this Cookie Policy and, where required by applicable law, implement an appropriate consent mechanism before such technologies are used.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
Katanbooking may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Platform functionality, legal requirements, technical infrastructure or data processing practices.
The most current version of this Cookie Policy will be made available on the Katanbooking Platform.
